At first I was expecting like a 3rd season of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni, but this is quite different. A side story focusing on Megumin's past. And of course, plenty of gags and jokes. I swear her home town was founded on a principle of boasting. The more incredible the back story, the more points from the teacher!

They hold off on her first Explosion until episode 5.
